Glastonbury 2016 with Portobello Tents + Pennard Hill Farm

Glastonbury Festival, not something you'd usually associate with wellness, memory foam mattresses and smashed avo for breakfast right?

As much as I have loved (cough) embracing the true experience in previous years - this time I decided to take a slightly different approach...

[ I found a new friend in G&T's]

After an early 4am start on Wednesday and four hours of static travel torture, I was more than relieved to arrive at Pennard Hill Farm to kick off my wellies (literally) and relax. Situated a 20 minute walk (and a short buggy ride) from the Pyramid stage, you'll find a cluster of gorgeous luxury camping alternatives.

Welcomed by the friendly events team and an ice-cold G&T, I could tell this stay was going to be enjoyed, THOROUGHLY. I was lucky enough to be staying in one of Portobello Tents very own Lotus Belle Tent - a chic, cosy retreat after a hard day trudging through the Glastonbury mud fields.

With a King Sized Bed, memory foam mattress and down duvet covers and pillows, there was no doubt I'd be sleeping well during my stay.

The attention to detail and finishing touches really made this tent extra special - creating the perfect home from home.

If being treated to a cosy Lotus Belle Tent wasn't enough, there were also fully working showers within reach equipped with toiletries and appliances to suit all female / male grooming needs. I think the look of being freshly washed was definitely noticed by others, which made me an easy stare target for the unfortunate campers below. Either way, I felt GREAT.

Throughout our stay at Pennard Hill Farm, food was lovingly served to us by catering company Kaboola. Fresh Summer berries, smashed avocado and smoked salmon were just a few of the extensive breakfast menu options, alongside delicious bar snacks and freshly prepared evening meals of Pork Belly, Chicken Breast and tenderised Beef. Tea and coffee were available at all times, as well as a moreish offering of Burts crisps and sweet popcorn (I can vouch that you won't go hungry during your stay here).

Not only will you be spoilt for choice, but you'll be consistently served by the most friendly and outgoing team of staff that are there to make sure you're getting the true 'luxury' experience.

[Trying to listen intently to our Sipsmith Gin Master after four shots proved a tricky task]

On the second night, we were joined by London based Gin distillery Sipsmith. Before a night of dancing and mud-trudging, this was certainly needed.

On one of the sunnier evenings, this was a great chance to get to know our fellow neighbours over a gorgeous sunset view of the Festival.

Overall, I had a fantastic time staying with Portobello Tents, Pennard Hill Farm and Kaboola. I was truly looked after by the incredible staff and felt extremely lucky to have been able to be a part of such a unique and special experience.

I'd certainly recommend this to anyone who's looking to experience a different side of Glastonbury next year. Come rain or shine, there's a little slice of heaven wherever you look - making for an escape you'll find hard to forget.
